Radiator is a highly configurable and flexible Radius server that supports authentication by over 60 different types of authentication methods such as Flat files, DBM files, Unix password files, SQL databases, remote Radius servers (proxying), external programs, NT User Manager, Active Directory, LDAP, PAM, iPASS, GoRemote, NIS+, Tacacs+, Web URL, SecurID tokens, Vasco Digipass tokens, SafeWord tokens, a wide range of ISP billing packages such as Emerald, Platypus, Rodopi, Hawk-i, Interbiller98, Freeside etc, your legacy user database etc, etc. Full source means that authentication methods can be changed or added to suit your needs.

Radiator is written in Perl and runs on just about any OS, including Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X.

Version 3.17.1:
Added new load balancing module AuthBy HASHBALANCE, which will use information in the incoming request to choose the preferred host, with the intention that all requests in a single EAP conversation will all go to the same target server, enabling EAP and other stateful RADIUS transactions to be loadbalanced without interfering with streams of related requests. If the preferred host is not available try the following ones until all are exhausted. Sample configuration file in goodies/hashbalance.cfg.
ldap-aps.cfg was left out of the 3.17 distribution. Other Apple Password Server modules were also omitted.
Added EAP_38.pm for TNC support to the distribution.
Added RB-DHCP-Vendor-Class-Id to dictionary.
Fixed a bug in TLS support when used with TTLS-PAP-EAP-TNC.
TranslatePasswordHook now works for EAP-MSCHAPV2, EAP-PAX, EAP-PSK, LEAP and MD5-Challenge.
Added a number of new Redback and DSLForum VSAs to dictionary.
